It is generally acknowledged that the level of development of welfare in the society is a measure of its civilization and adherence to valuables which are common to all mankind. In this connection welfare is one of the essential aspects of the public work of OJSC “Giprotruboprovod”. The Institute considers its duty to take part in large charitable projects as well as in provision of address help to everybody who actually needs attention and support.

Priority directions are:

• Relief action for religious organizations

Institute renders assistance to the Temple of Saint Great Martyr Nikita; assigns means for the construction, accomplishment and repair of the children school “Nikita”, where the children from 4 months old up to 15 years old are being brought up (Pavlovo-Posadskoye rural deanery of Moscow Eparchy, Russian Orthodox Church).

Institute renders financial assistance to Saint-Ekaterininskiy male monastery in Vidnoye town. Institute assigns means for restoration of the general iconostas of the Temple of Saint Great Martyr Ekaterina.

Institute rendered financial assistance to Saint-Troitskiy Stefano-Makhrischskiy monastery of Moscow Patriarchy.

• Financial Support in cultural sphere

Institute assigns charitable help to the theatres: Moscow experimental theatre under the direction of Vyacheslav Spesivtsev.

Institute gives financial support to the museums. With a view to develop material and technical basis and realize the projects of “Complex program of development of the state Museum named after L.N. Tolstoy for 2005-2011” the Institute assigned means for the state museum named after L.N. Tolstoy.

• Help in bringing up of grown up generations

Institute cooperates with the regional charitable public fund “Illustrated books for little blind children”. In 2008 the Institute took part in Program “Books as a present”. Children with visual impairment of Yaroslavl town had got subscription for the illustrated relief books “Atlas of illustrations perception”.

Institute cooperates with Union of charitable organizations of Russia, assigns means for the fulfillment of the First National Welfare Program “Billion by small coins”. Monetary funds are sent by the Institute with the purpose of medical treatment and sanitation of children.

Important direction of charitable activity of the Institute is a development of children’s sport. Sponsor support is assigned to “Child- juvenile sports school # 30 of Department of physical culture and sport of Moscow city”. Institute assigns charitable help for the summer health-improving campaigns. Means are being sent for the transportation of children and trainers.

Financial support is to the State institution “Center of physical culture and sport of the South-West administrative Okrug” of the Committee of physical culture and sport of Moscow city.

With the direct assistance of the Institute there are the competitions of the young talents, office equipment is bought into the children's homes, schools and boarding schools. Considerable means are transferred for the development of material and technical basis of educational and therapeutic institutions; the means are given for the purchase of the subjects of first living essentials, equipment and repair of accommodations.

Among the objects of charitable and sponsor activity of OJSC “Giprotruboprovod”: “Society of nature recovery and protection of Moscow city”; Municipal Clinical Hospital # 70; juvenile club “Nadezhda” – “N”; Kalyazinskiy children's home “Rodnichok”; Petrovskaya boarding school; children's home at the settlement Petrovsk; children's home # 1 of Rybinsk town of Yaroslavskaya oblast; Special children's home # 32; Sanatorium children's home # 23; Staroyurevskaya secondary educational school; regional public organization of invalids; Ufa State Oil Technical University; Saint-Petersburg State Technical University and Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas. Children and juvenile sport clubs, “Center of Culture, Sport, Leisure and family for the children and young people of “Butyrskiy” receive the sponsor help.

The Institute is marked for its charitable help with numerous testimonial thankful letters from different organizations.

It became a good and kind tradition in Institute to help orphan children. The employees of the Institute take the most active part in assignment of charitable help to such children. The subjects of first living essentials, children clothes, sweet stuff and toys are purchased on the collected money for children left without parents charge. It is pleasant to see that in Institute there are a lot of people, for whom welfare became a norm of life. At that, they don’t even need publicity of their actions because for the first turn they need this welfare, as it causes inside their souls a feeling of pleasure for those to whom they help. And in spite of the own problems, they are not indifferent to the children troubles. They can’t pass by the pain and loneliness of children who are devoid of the most important thing in the life – parent caress and love.
