OJSC “Giprotruboprovod” celebrated 70th jubilee in September, 2009
Open Joint Stock Company “Institute for design of trunk pipelines” (OJSC “Giprotruboprovod”) – a subsidiary of OJSC “AK “Transneft” – is the leading institute in Russia for design of trunk pipelines. Based on designs developed by “Giprotruboprovod” there was created the unique trunk pipeline system of our country, which provides the transportation of oil to the refineries of the country and export deliveries.
Institute Giprotruboprovod was formed on decision of Economic Council at Council of People's Commissars of the USSR # EC-131-238 dated September 16th, 1939 on the base of 5-th sector of Promstroiproject Institute. Primarily (till April 1951) it was named Union Trust “Nefteprovodproject”. For the period since 1951 till 1958 the Institute had the name “Giprotransneft”, and since May, 1958 - Giprotruboprovod.
OJSC “Giprotruboprovod” – is an assignee of State Order of the Red Banner of Labour of Institute for design of trunk pipelines.
Evident role in formation and development of transportation of oil, it’s functioning in present appearance, and at the initial stage of activity – in the development of system of transportation and storage of oil products belongs to Institute “Giprotruboprovod”.
Jubilee celebration will become an important event for all the employees and veterans of the Institute, that’s why preparation to the celebration of such scaling action had been started. Contribution of each employee into the preparation to this memorable event is very important. And this is understandably. In fact, there is no the future without the past.
Within holding the jubilee various actions were performed: meetings with veterans, pensioners and former honoured workers of Institute, scientific and technical conference of the youth, photo-exhibition, competition of children drawings and a lot of others. In order to perpetuate the labour prowess of the previous generations and bring up the young generation of Giprotruboprovod employees on their example a film was shot and a book about the history of the Institute was published.
